Thank you to All!
Appreciation and Gratitude
To all who make Off the Leash Dog Park Possible
Yuba City Off the Leash Dog Park is more than just a place to go exercise your dog. Although, I do recognize that IS the main reason we all go there J Over the last two years I have been going to the dog park I learned there was so much more to this park. I want to share just a few.
♥ Many Senior Citizens have commented it is a safe pace for them to walk and get their exercise and also exercise their dog. In early morning week days there are fewer people in the park and it gives them a place to walk safely.
♥ People have commented it is so much better than a City dog park with all the trees, picnic tables, portable potty, garbage cans, the large area for animals to play, and convenient. Closest city dog parks are Lincoln and Chico
♥ People come and enjoy this park from Marysville, Yuba City, Linda, Browns valley, Lake Plumas and Wheatland
♥ Military People new to this area have told me that they have been able to enjoy the park, meet new friends and at the same time everyone there has been helpful in giving them tips about the area.
♥ Two years in a row after awful wildfires people were evacuated to Yuba City stuck in small spaces with animals and were very grateful for the park. Every one of them has commented on what a great park we have and the largest and prettiest they have seen.
This park means many different things to different people. Out of the love of the founding group who decided to make this a reality and has kept this park going they have brought this to the community and made it a non profit. This means it is all run by yearly membership fees, donations, and volunteers. A dog loving community! It continues to grow, thrive and change. Picnic tables were added, a small agility course, a portable bathroom, garbage cans and tree planting. It is volunteers who take the time for board meetings and planning to keep the park here for all to enjoy. There are people over the years who have taken the position of maintenance (which is a huge job with how big the park is) and the volunteers to help in maintenance. Then there is the board of volunteers who keeps the park alive and running and of course the president who keeps us a non profit and oversees the whole picture. These are all loving people who donate their time and efforts to keep the park. There are so many people who have helped, donated hours, money and equipment to this park it is impossible to name everyone. You know who you are!
We want to say a huge Thank You and how much we appreciate you and have enormous gratitude to all of you involved and gratitude to help us keep the park. We have it because of all of you.
